This Week’s Homework – Easter or Autumn Card Design
This week, we’re welcoming the autumn season and celebrating Easter (for those who observe it) with a creative card design challenge. Use your favourite drawing materials to create a hand-drawn card that’s full of colour, fun, and seasonal spirit!
Your Challenge:
Choose one of the following drawing prompts:
🐰 Easter-Themed Card:
Design the front of a hand-drawn Easter card. You might include:
-
Bunnies, chicks, or baskets of eggs
-
Colourful, patterned Easter eggs
-
Happy greetings like “Happy Easter” or “Have an Egg-cellent Day!”
-
A peaceful outdoor Easter scene
🍂 Autumn-Themed Card (Alternative Option):
Prefer to focus on the season? Create an autumn-themed card featuring:
-
Autumn leaves and trees in warm colours
-
Cosy scenes like boots, books, scarves, or warm drinks
-
Australian wildlife enjoying the cooler weather
-
A cheerful seasonal greeting like “Happy Autumn” or “Sending Autumn Smiles”
Tips for Success:
✏️ Begin with a light pencil sketch to plan your composition
🖍️ Use coloured pencils, markers, fine liners, or crayons—whatever drawing materials you enjoy
🍁 Choose warm, earthy tones for an autumn feel or bright pastels for Easter
💡 Add thoughtful details like patterns, textures, and cheerful messages
How to Submit:
When your card is complete, upload a photo of it to ClassDojo as a private message to Mrs. Cormack, or email it to enquiries@sharzartdesign.com. There’s no due date, so take your time and enjoy the process!
We can’t wait to see your seasonal creations—whether they celebrate Easter, autumn, or both!
