Our January Drawing Challenge invites artists of all ages and skill levels to enjoy one simple, real-life drawing prompt each day throughout the month. Each prompt focuses on everyday objects that are easy to find at home, making the challenge accessible, flexible, and stress-free.
This challenge is designed to build confidence, strengthen observation skills, and encourage a regular creative habit. Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or returning to drawing after a break, these daily prompts offer a gentle way to practise without perfection or pressure.
You can use any drawing materials you have on hand — pencil, pen, or coloured pencils — and spend as little or as much time as you like on each piece. There’s no right or wrong outcome; the focus is on enjoying the process and developing consistency.
We’ll be sharing the daily drawing prompt on our website and social media will include a sample drawing to inspire you. Participants are welcome to follow along quietly or share their artwork online, in CassDojo or email us, celebrate progress as the month unfolds. We are on facebook and instagram, check us daily after 10.30am each day for our drawing of each item.
Start where you are, draw what’s in front of you, and let January be a month of creative exploration, confidence-building, and enjoyment through drawing.
We will update this post daily to add each item……..
