The heart behind Sharz Art
My journey into teaching began long before Sharz Art.
Like many parents, I spent years helping in my children’s classrooms. What started as volunteering quickly grew into a passion for education, eventually leading me to work as a teacher’s aide. It was during those years that I realised teaching wasn’t simply something I enjoyed—it was what I was meant to do.
Although my original dream was to teach within schools, life had a different path in mind. Rather than waiting for the perfect opportunity, I decided to create one. I opened Sharz Art so I could build the kind of creative learning environment I had always imagined—one where every student is encouraged, supported and celebrated as an individual. Along the way, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Lifestyle and Learning, followed by my Bachelor of Fine Arts, bringing together my passion for education and creativity.
Today, work never feels like work.
The greatest reward isn’t a perfect drawing or painting—it’s watching students leave the studio smiling, feeling proud of themselves, and excited to come back the following week. Those moments remind me why Sharz Art exists.
