Building on last week’s focus, where we explored drawing zoo animals, this week’s homework will help you refine those skills by studying your favourite animal in more detail.
Your Challenge:
Choose your favourite zoo animal to draw, study and focus on their unique shapes, proportions, and details.
✏️ Tips for Success:
- Start with basic shapes! Break the animal down into circles, ovals, and rectangles before adding details.
- Observe closely. Look at reference images or even visit a zoo website for inspiration.
- Experiment with textures. Try shading techniques to show fur, scales, or feathers.
- Create a scene! If you’re feeling adventurous, place your animal in its habitat—like a lion on the savanna or a penguin on icy terrain.
