Week 1 – Insects and Mini Beasts
Option 1 – The Tiny World
Choose an insect or mini beast, such as a beetle, butterfly, spider or snail. Find a reference photograph and draw it carefully, looking at its body shapes, legs, wings and patterns.
Art skill: Observation, proportion and detail.
Option 2 – A World for Mini Beasts
Imagine you have shrunk to the size of an ant. Design a world where insects live, work and play. Perhaps a mushroom becomes a house, a leaf becomes a boat or a fallen twig becomes a bridge.
Creative challenge: Transform ordinary natural objects into something extraordinary.
